How to Choose a Vibrator

Bullet, rabbit, wand, G-spot or wearable? A plain-English guide to picking the right vibrator for you.

There is no single “best” vibrator. There is the one that suits your body, the sensation you like and how you want to use it. Answer three questions and the choice gets much smaller.

1. Where do you want to feel it?

External vibrators focus on the clitoris and vulva. Bullets are small and precise, wands are larger and broader, and suction-style toys use air pulses rather than direct vibration.

Internal vibrators are shaped for insertion. G-spot vibrators have a curved tip, and rabbit-style toys add an external arm so you get both at once.

2. What kind of vibration?

Vibration is often described as “buzzy” (sharper, more surface-level) or “rumbly” (deeper, more diffuse). Product descriptions don’t always say which, but larger motors and wand-style toys tend to feel rumblier.

3. How will you use it?

Solo, with a partner, or hands-free? Wearable and remote-controlled designs make partner play easier, while compact toys are simpler to travel with.

Check each product page for charging type, controls and size. We show the manufacturer’s own description so you can compare like for like.

Don’t forget lube

Water-based lubricant is compatible with every toy material. If you prefer silicone lube, check the toy manufacturer’s guidance first.
